Sharing draft concepts of our vision for the future

As WRI enters its tenth and final year, we’re working with a team of advisors on a strategy to continue supporting work to improve river health in the Willamette Basin.

Five months into this planning effort, the blueprint for a new Willamette network has begun to take shape. This network would assume many roles that WRI has filled since 2008, such as providing funding for the field, convening around priority issues and shared learning, and supporting alignment around shared goals, while broadening partnerships and expanding a vision for the river basin.

On Monday, April 23, more than 60 people attended a webinar to hear WRI Director Allison Hensey share emerging draft concepts for this new network, including its vision, mission and goals, a possible staffing and governance structure and funding strategies. If you missed the webinar, you can click here to watch a recording.  We’ve also uploaded the slides here.

Do you have a question that wasn’t answered during the webinar? Feel free to contact us at wri@mmt.org. We’ll do our best to give you an answer.

And be sure to mark your calendar for future opportunities to weigh in on the vision for this network. WRI has scheduled meetings and webinars on the following dates to share our ideas and hear yours:
