Willamette River Network seeks co-directors

Update: The application window for these positions has closed.

The newly-forming Willamette River Network is hiring two visionary leaders with a deep commitment to river health. This is an opportunity to launch and grow a new network with an evolving community and an intention for distributed leadership and power sharing.

Grounded in a vision of clean water, healthy habitats and thriving communities, the Willamette River Network will build upon ten years of progress under the Willamette River Initiative. The initiative sunsets this year after helping to spark a new era of collaboration toward shared goals for river health. A Director of Network Coordination and a Director of Development and Communications will lead the new Network in partnership with a governing board.

The Director of Network Coordination will lead Network formation, connect Network participants around shared goals, establish action groups around key priorities, and create systems for communication, collaboration and conflict management.

The Director of Development and Communications will provide a bold vision for resource development, fundraise to bring new resources into the Willamette Basin and lead the Network's strategic communication efforts.

Along with a passion for river health, applicants for both positions should have a commitment to equity and inclusion, a talent for relationship building and systems thinking and a knack for uniting people for a common cause.

Applications are due June 3.
